City of Wolfforth Library - The Place to Be... for Kids and Teens!

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

In January we launched a new program for children ages birth up to starting kindergarten, and it encourage early literacy by reading to your child.  It is a fun, exciting, and free way to start your child on the path to success.  Reading to your child is a proven way to boost your child's brain power and it creates a special bond with your child.  The simple act of sharing books helps your child learn pre-reading skills such as understanding the sounds letter make, developing a bigger vocabulary, and building background knowledge - all important skills that help prepare your child for learning to read and entering kindergarten.

Story Time

September - May we offer story time on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 10am.   We strive to encorporate great stories, hands on activities, music and learning into each story time. Be sure to come by the library or check the library Facebook page for upcoming events.
